Rock of Ages

I read this passage last week. I pondered it at the beach this past weekend. He is the Rock of Ages.

“So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say? I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.”

June ArtHop '09

Last month I went to art hop in Fresno.
It was supper good times biking from gallery to gallery.
My bike bellow.
Richard Silva's party food, everything he touches becomes art.
Thee Richard Silva, one of my favorite local artists.
My favorite galleries are in here, including my long time friend Zoombie Nation's.
"Miss Grace Smith everybody," another one of my favorite local artists and dear friend.
I think Royzilla did this one.
Kinda' blurry, but it gives it a ghostly effect. Old thrift store portrait modified by Zoombie.
I liked this. I'm not quite sure what it is but I feel some thing when I look at it. I like.
I liked.
I want one of these.
I wish we saw more of this in the valley.
Zoombie Nation and I with one of his paintings behind us.

Mexico 2009

I went down to TJ, Mexico for my spring break. This was my second year. I was an interpreter for a missions group. It was good times. I consumed many Manzana Lift's and Tostilocos (YouTube this) minus the pork skin.

She said we must be related 'cause my Grandfather Gonzalez and she are from the same small town and both have the same last name. She kinda' looks like one of my uncles.

Smile now, cry later.
Sunday soccer, all day, this was a girl game, they were rough.

El Canion de Emiliano Zapata, the place.
Bling, these kids superglue little fake dimonds to there teeth.

They were acting dead.

this house kinda' looked like an owl face.
A massive Jesus statue a few miles from Puerto Nuevo.

Venders at the Border.
